Archie Goodwin : Recovering Quicker Then Expected

-

2012 Kentucky prospect Archie Goodwin has been sidelines over the last month. With a doctoral verdict of a dislocated wrist, Viewing was expected to miss as much SA two months, but his recovery has been at a much quicker pace then doctoral expected.

“I’m actually having a faster recovery that what the doctor had thought,” Goodwin says. “They initially said it would take six to eight weeks, but I get my cast off tomorrow [June 30th] which is just under four weeks.”

Goodwin is expected to be back in time for the EYBL Finals at Nike Peach Jam, July 12-15 in North Augusta, S.C. Goodwin says it all depends on the strength of his wrist.

“I’ll probably take about a week just to get it strong, strong enough to feel comfortable,” Goodwin says. “If it doesn’t feel good enough in a week then I’ll just keep doing rehab on it until it feels strong enough.”

“I think we can win Peach Jam,” Goodwin claims. “I have confidence in my team and my teammates and my coaching staff that we’ll be pretty good going in there and hopefully we come away with the Peach Jam title.”

Archie is rated as the 8th best overall player on the class of 2012. His current list of schools includes Kentucky, North Carolina, Arkansas and Louisville, to name a few.

Some believe Goodwin could be the first to pull the Kentucky trigger from the 2012 class, but no date has been set for a decision.
